Those guys were not intimidated or overly excited about the environment at all. Nothing overwhelmed them. Really this was the case for them all year.
Things looked bleak there for a long time. But our guys kept hanging in there and we got a little momentum there in the fourth quarter.
So there are a lot of factors that go into having a successful season. I'm proud to be coaching in the state of West Virginia. There's a tremendous amount of outstanding coaches in our state at a lot of schools.
We think Mozes may be even better at center and Hines even better at guard. It's an experiment we've tried.
You can't make missed assignments and give them cheap ones. They're good enough to beat you without you making mistakes; you can't make mistakes mentally and have a chance to do it.
It was a tough year, ... Anytime you change schemes in all three phases there is an adjustment period. Here, it was the same system for 20 years, so it took a little while.
We're obviously excited to win the outright Big East championship. Our young men have worked very hard all season to achieve this goal.
As I mentioned to some folks last night. There's a lot of good football teams in the Big East and we had some very competitive battles with them and we'll continue to have those the next several years.
