We didn't jell right away, and in a lot of ways I was tougher on her than some of the kids that did leave the program. She was called on the carpet in a lot of areas, but she met those challenges head-on.
(Of course) I don't want them to be excited to lose. But I don't want my kids sitting around sulking and pouting because it's wasted negative energy.
We challenge our kids to be close around the 2:00 mark. If we can do that we can win games.
We talk all the time to our kids that it shouldn't matter where you play. But it does.
