It's an opportunity to represent Merced as well. Everybody is real proud of me being a local guy and doing real well.
It's no secret that I throw a lot of fastballs, and guys are going to come hunting (after) it. Start him off with something soft and give him a different look, and then I can speed him up with something later. I kind of had a game plan coming in.
That was unfortunate for Zach. He was a guy that had some issues earlier and was starting to come back, and it stinks that his season's over.
At this point, nobody on our side is surprised by what he does. The guys in the other dugout are probably trying to figure out who he is, but even if they do, with his stuff he's going to be fine.
