The system is running fine today. Some of our customers experienced a period of intermittent availability...yesterday. We regret any inconvenience that this issue may have caused.
The root cause of the intermittent access was an error in the database cluster. Salesforce.com addressed the issue with the database vendor. By Tuesday afternoon, the system was running normally for all users.
Our customers are entitled to their opinions and we respect that. When you have a passionate community of users, feelings are bound to run high.
