Kevin made good pitches when he had to, but it took a lot out of him. It was a tribute to him that he was able to get through it for five innings and give us a chance there.
As a team, you just try to survive them because you hate what it does to your pitching staff a lot of times. Eighteen innings in a day with no off days around it are tough.
(Young) teetered a bit in the first, then found his step. He got better as the game went on. His best innings were his last two.
If he goes five innings and he's just cutting them up, we'd probably let him go longer.
He ate up some important innings so we could save some guys that we didn't want to pitch. He did a good job in his Major League debut. I'm sure he had some anxiety out there, but he did a good job.
