It couldn't have worked out any better. We have had zero problems. At small schools, we have to remind ourselves we're here for the kids. It's not just the wins and losses, but giving kids opportunity.
We have a lot more competition in practice this year. They have bonded real well. That's easy for you or me to say, but it's not always easy for kids competing for the same position. The way we have approached it is that we have five move-ins ... let's get to work.
I like this job - most days I have a chance to make breakfast and take the kids to school or to read 'em a bedtime story. It's almost like a normal life.
