I saw it was a little crumbly out there and I knew that Damien would be looking for the barrel and luckily he only got that one,
I'm looking forward to France, ... France has been really good to me the last three years, I've been in the final every year, so I'm really looking forward to going back there and hopefully get a good result.
On my waves I just did as many turns as I could and it paid off.
Living a happy life is my main priority. You guys may think I am selfish for "wasting my talent" by staying away from events for a bit, but I am finally at a comfortable place where I can honestly say, if you guys see me out on tour again it's because I am there to win, and I'm going to go 100%.
You gotta go in the mud sometimes to figure who you are.
I try changing my surfing, which is the absolute worst thing you can do. Everyone surfs their own way. If I try to surf like someone else I look like a dork.
If you dont see me on tour, its because I have found happiness away from winning, and that might be the biggest achievement I could ever accomplish.
I surf because it keeps my life at an even keel, without it I would tip into the oblivion.
I can't believe that I've won here again,
I can't believe I've won here again. I want to move here. I love the people, I love the food, and I love the waves.
I knew I didn't get it. I didn't deserve the score. There's a pretty big gap between Kelly and the rest of us, and a win here really would've helped me close that a little bit. But going out right now almost makes it easier to take if he does come out of top.
I'm just so stoked and Kelly is going to have to wait to pop the champagne cork for a little longer.
