Lefties have given this district fits for years. Hopefully Brandon can be like those guys.

We have played two really good teams who had something on the line. It was very difficult to win in San Angelo and (the Odessa High) game was very much like a playoff game for them.

We're starting to find a way to win by finding a way to get on base however possible. Sometimes it seems like we find a way to try to lose and we need to overcome that.

I told the team that one run wasn't enough. You can't take a game off in this district, especially when you have a mark on your back like us.

It's tough to beat somebody like Lee three times in one year. (Flynn) gave up only one run while not having his best game. We'll live and learn from this.

It's obviously not good that we've lost two in a row to end the first half (of district). I'm not sure exactly what's going on with us. If I knew, I'd fix it.

I've preached all year that we've got to hit the fastball better. Last year we didn't do that. There's some pretty good pitchers out there and we've got to be able to handle them.
extremely glad grueling happy schedule week
I'm extremely happy (to have a bye) at this point. I don't know if our schedule was so grueling that we just limped in. I'm glad to have this week off.
