At Northwestern I have to continue to do it. If there's a kid in the Midwest, for instance, and other schools in the Big Ten want him, I might be the third or fourth guy on the list. I'm not getting kids, so I have to go elsewhere. That's true in the other conferences. If you're not the top dog then it's tough to recruit the same area, so I have to go elsewhere.
couple game simplified start
At the start of the game we simplified (the offense), just went with a couple things. But when they weren't working, we probably went to some pipe-dream things.

I expected him to be here and be ready to play. It just didn't happen. I thought our guys played hard. I thought our guys hung in there during a tough situation.

He is doing a great job running their team. He's shooting when he should, he's passing when he should, and he's making sure the ball gets in the right guys' hands.

If they had won (against Minnesota), there's a possibility they could look past you. But still, when they're at home they shoot the ball extremely well, which they did not do (against Minnesota). Certainly, they'll probably be a bit more focused because of that loss.

He's persistent. He doesn't get discouraged. He's a quick jumper to basket, a good shooter. I think he's the best low-post guy in the league. You have to keep the ball from him.

This is a big win for us. Because we haven't had any big wins in the conference against the top-tier teams.
replace
I've said and I still say they are the surprise, to me, of this conference, that they are doing what they're doing. They had to replace so many people. They're still overachieving in my view.

Teams are better in transition at home, at least that's what I've noticed. At least we are. We are clearly better at home pushing the ball up and down the court for whatever reason.
