Cliff really pitched a great game today. He has looked like the old Cliff the past two weeks. He has really worked hard and has good command on the mound. We hit the ball well today and I am proud of the team for coming out and finishing the series with the win. We still have a ways to go but we played well this weekend.

We're going to really have to pick it up to make a charge for a regional. It's all going to shake out on the field.

I said all along that if he was not going to be ready to assume his rightful place in the rotation than we wouldn't pitch him, and that's what we decided. I talked with Mike and his family, and everybody's in agreement.

We filmed him and worked with him. I don't know. I think he's just going to have to repeat his delivery better. He's not doing that. He'll throw one good pitch and two bad ones. He's having real trouble with his breaking ball. You can't sit there and pump fastballs in this league. But he's trying to work through it. Hopefully we can get him back where he was.

We got good starting pitching every time out. We swung the bats pretty good, but it all starts on that mound.

He is still a few weeks away from being able to pitch effectively. We felt that he needed to take the extra time and fully allow his arm to gain strength before he pitched. I also believe it wasn't fair to him to bring him back for half a season when he can come back and pitch two full seasons at full strength.

I've got a lot of guys doing well. We're trying to find enough room to get guys in the lineup. It's a good problem to have.
conference next people played starting step time tougher weeks
It's time for us to get rolling. We have been up and down and it's time for us to step up. A lot of people in our conference have played some of the tougher teams. It's starting for us. The next two weeks will show me what we have.
