airplane flying safe
The flying? I'm not worried about it. I'm safe up there. I feel very comfortable with my abilities flying an airplane.
beautiful rivers east
You've never seen Manhattan 'til you've flown right up the East River. It's beautiful.
dog mistake good-friend
I made a lot of good friends in Philadelphia and the last thing that I would want to do is dog anyone in that clubhouse. If I made it sound like that, it was a mistake.
attitude team spring
If I don't make the team out of spring training, I'll keep a good attitude. I'll just go polish up the parts of my game that made me not stay in the big leagues.
air land ninety-nine
Ninety-nine percent of pilots that go up never have engine failure, and the 1 percent that do usually land it. But if you're up in the air and something goes wrong, you pull that parachute, and the whole plane goes down slowly.
goal guy mind
Sometimes I felt I got caught up kind of going into the clubhouse non-chalantly sometimes, because all of the other guys in the clubhouse didn't go there with one goal in mind.
years preparation rotation
I've learned over the years that it doesn't matter where you pitch in the rotation. For me, preparation is everything.
agree blind charlie easy respect stuck though time work
There's nothing easy about being a manager, because you're going to be second-guessed. I respect Charlie as a manager, and even though at the time I didn't agree with it, he put thought into it. It wasn't a blind decision, and it didn't work out, but he stuck by it.
five gone good
Anything I do right now with twisting, I'll probably feel it. If I had already gone five good innings, I probably would have come out then, but I wanted to get one more inning in. I didn't think it was that bad.
bullpen early helped needed pace swinging
The way our bullpen has been used lately, we needed it, ... (The Reds' hitters) helped set the pace early. They were swinging early in counts.
scoreboard team
Right now we're scoreboard watching, but right now it's all about us. This team isn't going to give up.
next supposed
I want to win as much as anybody. But what am I supposed to do? Go cry in my apartment for the next two weeks?
clean consider days scare union
That's perfect. I never thought 10 days was enough. If you want to clean up the game, 10 days doesn't scare anyone. If the union doesn't consider this, something is wrong.
