(Wednesday) was definitely a roller-coaster day. It was a close game, and then they tied it up with Bobby's big home run. Then they come back and scored and put us down. Willy not giving up and running all the way through the base gave us a chance. That was a nice game right there.
That time he threw me one or two changes and I fouled one off and then the other one he got it up a little bit and I was able to get it far enough out. That gave us a (three-run lead), and with the way Andy was pitching that's all we needed.
Wags threw him two sliders that ate up his knuckles a little bit, ... He just was able to battle and stay alive. Like Willy does, he puts the ball in play and gave us a chance.
I'm really happy, really proud, that our fans stepped up and gave an unbelievable ovation for Baggy. He's not an overly emotional guy, but I know that touched him.
That's an unbelievable team that we just beat, ... and it's just a great feeling right now and it just goes to show you that we just never gave up.
I just wanted to get to a World Series one time. We never gave up, we kept battling.
Our fans are fired up, and it's great to have an opportunity to have another round with the Cardinals. We have another chance, we have a shot at it. There's only so many that you get. Coming from where we've come from, and to have a chance at this again, it's pretty special.
Overall everyone swung the bats and did everything right,
I think it was more their destiny than ours.
I think those guys aren't so young anymore,
The '98 team was probably the most disappointing.
That way I won't have to miss any games. This is the time of year where it's a little bit of a tough time, and she didn't want me to miss any games, anyway.
Some guy in the crowd was trying to be funny and he slapped her upside the head, acting like a 12-year-old, and he ran, ... It was his misfortune that he messed with a Jersey girl. She chased him down and caught him.
