We knew we would have our work cut out for us this year. We lost a lot of leadership to graduation last year. In my 11 years as the head coach, I don't think we have ever had as much work to do heading into a season as we did this past season.

You have to give them credit. South hung in there and did not quit when things were not going very well for them.

We got some of our momentum back in the fourth quarter but just did not take advantage of our opportunities.

We always have the expectation that we will work as hard as we can to win as many games a possible. In spite of losing some close games early, this team did improve as the year went on.
