Everyone throws their best shot at you every race, they know what to expect when they run us, and regardless of how good our car runs, we can still lose. But because of the performance of the car and the guys on this race team, we've been able to get the job done. Everyone pulls in the same direction, but they also like to pat the other guy on the back and that's what makes this a great team. They dig and dig and work, and they don't stop until they get results.

All along through this incredible run we've been asking if we do belong among the best of the best. But when you have a team that is as well-rounded and adaptable to change as this group, and you see their ability to stay at the top for so long, you realize how special this time is for all of us. That run was pretty much all you can get out of this track. It's very tricky but it's always that way so I guess we shouldn't be surprised. It took both of our cars all four passes to get it figured out. This is probably the best we've ever done here.

It took a couple races, but for the most part, this Pontiac GTO has been something special, ... This is the best racecar I've ever had and we were in trouble before we got it. It's a dream to drive right now and that's the way my car was last year. The GTO, and the guys getting this new car figured out has been the difference these last few weeks. They do a fantastic job, and once they get it, they usually don't lose it. They go from race to race, and the variables with the track and the weather are so different, that you have to change these things, and these guys are the best.

We're still trying to find a happy spot with this new chassis, and even though this Pontiac GTO has been very good lately, we definitely keep gaining on it every week. We're pretty pleased right now, but you have to look for even better and that's what we tried to do during our two days of testing at Indy. We experimented with shocks and springs and stuff like that, trying to find something that will help us. At the same time we wanted some laps on this racetrack because even though it will be different when we come back, there are some characteristics that are going to be the same.
