He's a great guy. He's not only good coach, but I think he understands the life of hockey, how important is it off the ice, to even treat the players off the ice, not only on the ice. The chemistry on team, it's great. It's so far been fun for everybody here.
I think we have a chance just like everybody else. There's no doubt in my mind we're going to have a playoff spot. I don't think it's a rebuilding year. No way.
Tom is a great guy. He's not only a good coach but I think he understands the life of the hockey player and how important it is off the ice to treat the players. The chemistry on the team is great and, so far, it's been fun for everybody here.
If they let me shoot, they let me shoot. That's fine with me, ... They covered everybody else. I'll take it any time.
Right now, ... there's a chance for everybody else and I don't think it's going to hurt us. I don't think it's a rebuilding, no way. I think we have a chance like everyone else does. There's no doubt in my mind we're going to make the playoffs.
It's not a good situation that we are in. Everybody knows how important these next four games are at home. It might be our season. That's the way I look at it. I thought we started playing better in the last two games. It's just that the results are not there.
Everybody says your health is the most important thing, and he's a perfect example. If he would have been healthy, he would break a lot of records. Maybe not all of them, but I'm pretty sure a lot of them. He was the best player I've ever seen. He was the most gifted at everything - size, strength, skill, how smart he was. There is no other player like him.
It's not easy to face him. Everybody knows how good he is. But we don't have a choice. We have to face it. They beat you with with one goal or two goals. They're not going to beat you 7-0.
There was so many good players in one place, ... Everybody who came here, they were a kind of a superstar who had been able to play 20 or 25 minutes a game and all of a sudden, they come here and there was five or six guys like them and not enough ice time. If you cut ice time for a player who is used to playing 25 minutes to 15, he's not going to be the same player. I think it hurts a team.
The chemistry on the team is great, and so far it's been fun for everybody here.
I thought when we were down 1-0, we had an opportunity on the power play. We had an empty net and missed it. That was probably the biggest chance we had in the game. We have to be able to score on those chances.
I thought we were going to win. Some calls were tough against us, some calls were fair. We had a 2-0 lead, we should have been able to win the hockey game.
It hurts a lot more than it did after the first game. I can not really lift my arm or do anything.
When I play games I don't really care. Everyone is replaceable. I just tried to help the team.
