Michael Lawrence Sliveis an American attorney and college sports executive. Slive is the former commissioner of the Southeastern Conference, a college athletics association. As part of his role as the SEC Commissioner, he served as the coordinator of the Bowl Championship Series for the 2006 and 2007 regular seasons. What's happened in our league is what I think a lot of us anticipated. Young league teams have gotten better as the season has moved forward. As a result, we're much deeper and more competitive than people maybe thought we were a couple of months ago.
