Kara is one of those kids you look forward for her to show up to the yard. She has such a great work ethic and she's very successful in everything she does. It doesn't matter how small something is, it's important to her.

I think the kids were ready to play they remembered. Nobody mentioned it, but they remembered.

We took care of business this time. I'm really proud of the way the kids played.

We have a lot of young talent but some of the older kids have jumped up a lot. Out of the 14, we're pretty tough offensively through 11 or 12.

Our pitching has been tough and we don't have any stars. Lee has a great arm and she moved the ball well and you have to work with the tools that you have.

We've got some good power and speed and we're hoping our offense can compensate some of our inexperience in pitching. We're going to throw two or three Wednesday against Sabino and see if we get through It will be a while before one of them goes all seven.

That (defense) was one of the big talks we had Friday night. We took care of business on defense Saturday and our pitchers did their jobs.

We played with a lot of heart. Sometimes there's going to be one-run games. This lets (us) know we can win them. We didn't adjust well to their pitcher. She's a freshman and she's going to be really good for them.

Without a doubt, I thought we'd make that up. The way we've been swinging it I wanted to create a good inning and not just bunt the runner to third.
