tired
Hopefully, I do this long enough where I don't get tired or be boring. Well, I'm never going to be boring.
ask game last next percent player ready tells unless upset wants
He told me that he wanted to play. I ask my player the next day, especially the catcher, and he said he's ready to go. He wants to play. I think he was a little upset by the game last night. I'm not going to play him unless he tells me that he's 80 to 100 percent ready to go.
ball base credit guy kept people score team throw
He throw the ball good. You have to give credit to the guy when he throw the ball well. He kept our team off-balance. We didn't have that many people on base and to score runs, you have to have people on base.
bat good swings
He swings the bat real good at the right moment, especially when we need it.
injury kid mentally people percent shame stuff wonder
He said Marte is fine. He's 100 percent to go, ... It makes you wonder if the injury was mentally or physically. If the injury was mental, it's a shame because that kid has better stuff than a lot of people in this game.
ball days garland threw throwing today
Garland threw the ball real poorly. He wasn't throwing strikes. Today was one of those days he didn't have it.
best good job people selfish true
He's my true leader, ... When I got this job and people say he was good in the clubhouse, he was different then, he's a selfish player. But I got this job for two years and he's the best thing I have.
hurt
He's not hurt of anything. ... He's just tired.
carry good kid team
I can see this kid having a pretty good year. That's why we got him. He could carry this team for a little while.
anybody anyone hit last smart tony wonder
I don't like it the way it happened. I wonder why he hit for Teixeira that last inning. That's a Tony La Russa move. That's a pretty smart move. I'm not going to hit anyone today. I'm not going to hit anybody tomorrow.
believe
I believe in him. He's got to get better.
good
He approached me today, and I think it is a good thing for him and myself.
against innings twins
He pitched well against the Twins (in his second-to-last start), and his innings pitched are about the same as in the past.
