I like it a lot. I like training on it, and I like running on it. Horses stay sounder. Fewer catastrophic injuries. To me that's the biggest thing you can ask for. The fact that the times are a little bit slower, who cares? I'd rather have slow times and sound horses.

He was getting more horses and more clients, and he was winning races. He had a good Churchill meet, and things were really picking up for him. It's really a shame.

I'm just going to train him right into the Donn. He had five hard races last year, so I gave him a little break after the Clark, but he's back working now and doing good.

Had a magnetic personality. Everybody knew him -- knew him as the upbeat guy, and so he'll certainly be missed out here.

He's a living legend, for sure. He's larger than life to a lot of people, myself included.. .. I don't think it's out of line to call him the best of all time.

He was just always a very optimistic guy?always very happy-go-lucky. He?d always brighten your day up, that?s for sure. He?s the kind of guy where a horse could run horrible, and he?d have something good to say about it. The glass was always half full.

We didn't have as good a trip as Borrego. He moved at the three-eighths pole while we were pinned. He ran great, but I think we can beat him under different circumstances.

In some regards we feel lucky. We hate for it to rain on a big day like this, but it worked out great for this filly in this stakes. I'm not sure now where she'll go.
