amazing charity clock couple dallas mentioned miss next outing sure together
We were doing a charity outing together in Dallas and I mentioned that I wanted to see his woodwork. In the next couple of weeks, an engraved clock showed up at my house, signed, 'made by Byron Nelson.' He's an amazing man. I sure miss him here.
amazing dallas hope next slowing sorry tournament understand
I understand he's really slowing down, but at 94, he's still an amazing guy. I'm sorry not to see him this week, but I hope he can make it for his tournament in Dallas next month.

baby greatest guy lost memory might name
He even said that he had never done that, ... But he's 93, I think he might have lost part of his memory. He's the greatest guy ever. We have a new baby on the way and if it's a boy, I'm going to name him Byron.

control shot wind
I think it's the same kind of wind tomorrow, so it should be an interesting finish. The only thing you can control is yourself and what you're doing. One shot at a time.
ground leaders
But the leaders are doing the same thing. I didn't make up any ground on them.
across ball behind bet catch dropped head last today toss year
Usually, I like to toss the ball to him on the green, even if he's across the green. At the end of last year he never dropped one. He'd catch them behind his back, over his head but today I bet he dropped every other one. We weren't clicking.
came five four holes lucky seven wind
The wind came up after about seven holes and I was lucky to be four or five under at that point,
came eighth helped par seventh straight wind
The wind came up about the seventh hole. Fortunately, I was four-under before that. I had the eighth hole, a long par three, and it was straight downwind. That actually helped on that hole.
greens happen low scores
Low scores are going to happen with no wind. There's no rough, and the greens are perfect.
effect green mph since wind
They say a 10 mph wind can have about a 2-inch effect on a 10-foot putt. That makes it really difficult, since you have to read the green and read the wind.
draw drew dumb pin took trying
I took out a 5-iron and I was trying to draw it into the pin to make a birdie. I drew it too much and it went into the water. In hindsight, it was a pretty dumb thing to do, but I was trying to make a birdie.
