I don't think you have to be from a region to have empathy for what people are going through.
He is a winning player -- he's got a toughness about him that's unique. He has a knack for making other people better. I don't know where we'd be without him.
People say it balances out. I guess this is one that the basketball gods smiled down on a group of kids that needed somebody to smile on them.
People that are probably hurt the worst are people that are coming from low-income areas that lost everything. As coaches, we're always rebuilding. Maybe we can come together and help some people rebuild their lives.

A lot of crazy things have happened. ... You play to see if you can win the last four games and win two or three in the ACC tournament. All of a sudden you're on a six-game win streak and your RPI all of a sudden has jumped up, and maybe you've passed some people that are ahead of you.
He's like an Energizer bunny. Now, he's getting matched up against the post players. He's a guy that can beat people down the court at that position. But he's got to rebound the ball better; that was his challenge. He got six today, he's got to get 10 right now with where we're at.
