It didn't make any sense to push it. A catcher goes through a lot of wear and tear. He needs to be 100 percent.

When your timing is off and you're pushing the ball instead of throwing the ball, there will be a decrease in velocity. If the timing is off or the arm slot is off, you won't see the same thing.

The biggest thing is to get him back completely functional versus seeing parts of him, parts of him there. With what I was hearing medically Friday and Saturday, it didn't make any sense to try to push it.
